CHINA OPENS WORLD'S LONGEST SEA BRIDGE


China unveiled bridge in the world's longest sea, extending a massive 26.4 miles - five miles longer than the distance between Dover and Calais and more than a marathon.


The Qingdao Haiwan Bridge, completed earlier this week, linking the major cities of Qingdao city, east China's Shandong Province, with Huangdao district, straddling Jiaozhou Bay waters.


Viaduct, which lasted four years and cost a cool £ 5.5billion to build, will be open to the use of the new year and almost three miles longer than the previous record holder, the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway in Louisiana.


The Real Iron Man Suit Found in China

After watching the 2008 blockbuster film Iron Man, had Wang Kang, an office worker of 25 year-old from Shanghai, China, an idea. Kang decided he wanted to be Iron Man.


Thus, February 26, 2011, Kang began working on his own Iron Man suit in the living room of his apartment. Three months later, on June 3, Kang reported to work dressed as Iron Man.


According to various newspaper articles, it is mainly composed of high-density foam costumes, the son and the pipes that he only paid 3,000 yuan ($ 460). A small price to pay for this kind of reaction. But the Iron Man Mark I suit is very heavy. It weighs about 100 pounds (45 kg).

6 Sites in Asia Pacific New Only Defined As World Heritage

Recently re-released the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site to date. Of the 15 new sites crowned as world heritage, the six of them located in the Asia Pacific region that were located not far away with Indonesia.

Each year, Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), announced a variety of new places in the world that belong to the list of World Heritage Sites (World Heritage Sites).The program which began 16 November 1972 that aims to list, naming, and preserving the places that are very important in order to become a world heritage and can be enjoyed by generations to come.

This is the sixth World Heritage Site in the Asia Pacific.

The United Kingdom to build thousands of jail in Australia during the 18th and 19th centuries.UNESCO set 11 of them as a World Heritage Site, which are located in Sydney, Tasmania, Norfolk Island, and Fremantle. Prisons were used to detain thousands of Europeans who were sentenced by the British government. Ark Hotel Changsha China

The Russian Ark Hotel ProjectArk project was designed by the Russian company Remistudio with the help of the International Union of Architects' Architecture program for disaster relief. The hotel shaped dome was built with wooden arches, of steel cables and a layer of self-cleaning plastic rather than glass. The hotel shook as the arch can be adapted to land and water. It is built to stay afloat in case of floods or flood waters. The 14,000 square feet of shell-shaped structure of arcs and cable distributes the weight evenly, which means it can withstand earthquakes. Natural light is filtered through local domestic grounds of the hotel see-through structure, reducing lighting needs. more info and images after the break...
