But who has won the box office war? Though, it’s too early to declare the final result, if the initial reports are anything to go by, then, certainly, Action Replayy has been licking dust amidst the giggling Golmaal crew.
Golmaal 3 promises laughter and a ‘paisa vasool’ entertainment despite being mindless and stupid at times. So, the public (smeared heavily in Diwali colours) are flocking in with their tub of over-priced popcorns munching on to every one-liner thrown in by Shreyas, Ajay, Tusshar and the likes. With Johny Lever and Mithun Chakravarthy joining the wagon wheel, the starry ensemble of G3 has only got bigger.
Action Replayy, on the other hand, has failed to lure the spectators. The 70s world has, surely, not been an enticing invitation and the threadbare storyline and mediocre performance has marred the delight.
While Golmaal 3 has earned nearly 70-100 percent occupancy in most halls, Action Replayy is barely managing 30-50 percent. Having said that, it’s early days and the table may soon turn.
But then the critics haven’t been too favourable towards Action Replayy and as of the moment the winner is clearly Golmaal 3
